An adjective is a word that modifies or describes a noun or pronoun. Adjectives can act as a complement to linking verbs or the verb “to be’. 03 -- adept -- good at doing difficult tasks [synonyms: skillful, proficient]
04 -- avowed -- that has been publicly admitted, declared, asserted or stated [synonyms: affirmed, confirmed]
05 -- basic -- (a). forming the most necessary part of sth | (b). of the simplest kind | (c). necessary and very important
06 -- bewitching -- extremely beautiful in a way that attracts somebody’s attention greatly
07 -- big-headed -- immodest or too proud, egoistical
08 -- cagey -- unwilling to give information due to distrust or caution [synonyms: evasive, secretive, wary]
09 -- charred -- completely black and burnt due to the effect of fire
10 -- demagogic -- seeking to win support of ordinary people by emotion-based arguments
11 -- disproportionate -- too large or too small when compared with something else [synonyms: inconsistent]
12 -- dulcet -- gentle and pleasant to the ear or agreeable to the eyes [synonyms: melodious]
13 -- effusive -- expressing feelings or emotions in a heartfelt manner [synonyms: fervent, overenthusiastic, passionate]
14 -- egalitarian -- believing in the principle that everyone is equal and deserves same rights and opportunities.
15 -- enthusiastic -- feeling or showing intense excitement about something [synonyms: eager, earnest, fervent, passionate]
16 -- exceptional -- good in an unusual manner [synonyms: extraordinary, outstanding]
17 -- fiendish -- extremely cruel, unpleasant, or complicated [synonyms: monstrous]
18 -- gratuitous -- needless, unnecessary or unreasonable
19 -- grubby -- (a). dirty, because it has been unwashed or has not been cleaned | (b). unpleasant and disreputable because it involves dishonest or immoral activities [synonyms: filthy, grimy, mucky, sordid]
20 -- horrifying -- making somebody feel extremely disgusting or frightened [synonyms: appalling, dreadful, horrific]
21 -- insubstantial -- not very large, strong or important [synonyms: weak]
22 -- mandatory -- required or binding by law [synonyms: obligatory or compulsory]
23 -- meditative -- involving or absorbed in deep and serious thought [synonyms: contemplative, thoughtful, pensive]
24 -- mystifying -- (a). totally confusing | (b). making something difficult to understand [synonyms: bewildering, baffling, confounding, perplexing, puzzling]
25 -- nearby -- near in position
26 -- orthodox -- (a). (of beliefs and practices) generally approved of [synonyms: conventional, traditional] | (b). following traditional beliefs and practices especially related to religion
